Antipodes | Aura Manuka Honey Mask

Sunday 2 April 2017

Who isn't a lover of face masks? I've recently shared my love for Antipodes and their scientific organic beauty range. Since my first purchase I have a wish list as long as my arm and my collection is growing. You may have noticed through reading other blog posts of mine, I'm a bit of a skin care fan. My skin is blemish prone and scarred, so often, if something is advertised as helping blemished skin I jump straight on the band wagon.

I'm always drawn in by anything that has Manuka Honey in there. Manuka Honey has potent antibacterial properties, which is ideal for blemish prone skin. Hence why I jump at anything with it in. It's proven to have many health benefits and can be used in many different ways to specifically target problem areas whether they are on the inside or like me, visible on the skin.

This mask is now my absolute favourite, I was always a Lush face mask girl, but they've now been pushed aside. On Antipodes website, this is described as a luxurious mask, and it most definitely is. You know sometimes you can really feel when you have a mask on, like, it's heavy and drying and you have to be really good and try not to pat your face while it's still damp? Well, you wouldn't even know you had this one on. It's so light and creamy, it's actually refreshing to have on.

Antipodes has packed all the good stuff into this tube and it really does show on my skin. It's a super hydrating mask and your skin is left feeling refreshed, cleansed and brighter. There's Manuka Honey Active 20+, which is an antibacterial super food and helps promote youthful, fresh and blemish free skin. Also packed in is Pohutukawa which is a bioactive extract from New Zealand and is conditioning, deeply moisturising and antiseptic. And we have Vanilla Pods as well, which are rich in antioxidants and can help slow down the signs of ageing.

I personally love the packaging, I'd hate to waste any of this product, so the fact that you are able to roll down the aluminium tube and get every drop out is amazing. The product it self is a really rich and creamy texture, which is actually really calming on the skin once you've applied a thick amount. I use this mask twice a week as directed, but, you can also use a small amount on blemishes as and when, to help minimise and clear your skin. So I have been taking full advantage and I actually had clear skin, for the first time in forever, I didn't have a single spot. Which I didn't think was possible, and trust me, I have tried.

The Aura mask is now one of my forever purchases, I don't think I'll ever fall out of love with it.
Have you tried Antipodes?
