LUSH Valentines & Mothers Day Haul

Sunday 11 February 2018

HIYA! Been a while hasn't it? I took a planned break over the festive period..and then shit happened and the break got longer because, well..life. But here I am, back at it with a LUSH haul, who'd have guessed it?
Most people will know I have an unhealthy obsession with Lush and can't help but buy myself something every single time I'm near a store because I can almost guarantee that I deserved a treat that day, any excuse for some expensive bath bombs really. Swings and roundabouts though because I always smell delightful ( if I do say so myself).
Anyway..Lush Haul!

Tis' the season for all things pink, floral and covered in hearts. And by that I mean YAY it's Valentine's day and Mother's day, any seasonal exclusives that come about I will always get myself a little bundle of goodness. I do have to say though, I'm impressed with this years collections. There isn't too many repeats like there usually is, so there's lots of new products to explore.
I didn't actually check the ranges online I just walked in, got a basket and filled it up. I must have been in and out in less than 10 minutes, I just grabbed what caught my eye.

I got myself a little mixture from each collection so here's what they are;

Rose Bombshell - Bath Bomb - Guess what? Smells like roses! 😂 This one is a repeat but I didn't actually pick it up last year for some reason. Inside of this bath bomb is Rose oil, Rose Absolute, Geranium oil & Yellow Rose petals. Once the outer layer of the bath bomb has done its job, the petals start to fill the water.

Unicorn Horn - Bubble Bar - A repeat but also different. I remember the first Unicorn horn to be released had stars and hearts confetti on it, a lot more glitter and brighter in colour but that doesn't make this one rubbish. They may have toned it down a little but its still just as great with Lavender oil, Neroli oil and Ylang Ylang oil. I'm sure you can guess it, but the amount of oils packed in there leave you feeling extra soft.

Love Boat - Bath Bomb - You can literally get it to float along like a boat ( as long as you don't just lob it in). This is a zesty little treat which I love but it's also super glittery and full of tiny hearts..I can deal with it though. This bath bomb is packed full of Sicilian Lemon oil, Organic Sweet Orange oil and rose oil. The scent is really uplifting and Love Boat leaves you with a pretty pink bath.

Mum In A Spin - Bubble Spinner - I can not shout this loud enough BUBBLE VERSION OF SLEEPY ( I know right?). Any way, fidget spinners finally found a way into my life, like bubble baths weren't already fun enough? This is hands down my favourite buy, it smells incredible with its super relaxing scent which is a mixture of; Lavender oil, Benzoin Resinoid, Ylang Ylang oil and Tonka Absolute. If you buy any Lush product I really hope it's this one.

Citrus Are Doing It For Themselves - Bubbleroon - This is my first bubbleroon but as I love all things citrus I couldn't not get this one. The ingredients that make this one so zesty are; Lemon oil, Grapefruit oil, Lime oil and Lemon Myrtle oil with the added softness of Cocoa Butter, Murumuru Butter and Shea Butter. You definitely force everyone to feel how soft your skin is for a couple of days after using this one.

Mum, Look What I Made You - Bath Bomb - I'll be honest, it genuinely looks like something shit that you'd paint your mum...I think that was on purpose (I hope). Basically, if you love coconut, get this one. It smells like a tropical coconut heaven with ingredients like; Cocoa Absolute, Coconut Milk Powder, Almond Essential oil and Coconut Blossom Nectar. Not my fave though.

Madame President - Bath Bomb - Another zesty treat for us! I didn't understand the name of this product at all to begin with..to the point that I had to look it up and it's basically saying that you are your own President which is weird because we have Prime Ministers here...but oka. There's not an awful lot of citrus in this bath bomb compared to the bubbleroon, but there's enough. This one has Citric Acid, Grapefruit oil and Petitgrain oil, also looks pretty snazzy in the water!

So there we have my little haul, some things I like more than other's but I am fully on board to start a petition to keep Mum in a Spin forever because...well, it's Sleepy Lotion in a bubble spinner.
Something I do have to point out though is how ridiculous the pricing is getting, sorry but I am absolutely not about to spend £4.75 on a bloody bath bomb on a regular basis. The price hikes need to stop because the Lush that was an affordable treat is turning into a luxury (that isn't really worth it).
I adore Lush as a company and their products but as much as I don't want to..I'm going to start disliking them before long.

Have you tried any or these ranges? How do we feel about them?

  2. The boat one is so cute!! Also I really agree, Lush is getting way too expensive. Whenever I buy a bath bomb, I end up breaking it into 3 so I don't waste it all on one bath haha
