L'Oreal / Fine Flowers Collection

Wednesday 14 June 2017

I'm a firm believer in using skincare for a long enough period to see how it really works on the skin before reviewing it. I'm an absolute sucker for skincare, anything marked as new I instantly want it. But I'm now learning to control this bad habit of mine, mainly because I think I've finally found the skincare products that work for me. Finally. And that's saying something considering I'm prone to break outs and suffer with mild acne due to medication I take. Who would have thought it would be drugstore skincare that was the answer for me!?

Let's talk about the Fine Flowers collection for a minute, the range is designed for sensitive skin with extracts of Rose and Jasmine to delicately cleanse, tone and wash the day away. Jasmine helps to balance moisture in the skin as well as protecting skin with antibacterial properties, Rose is known for its soothing and comforting properties. As I've said before, I'm prone to break outs and mild acne, so I was already aware of the properties in Rose and Jasmine which is why this collection caught my eye.
I've now been using it daily for almost 3 months now, and the difference in my skin is unreal, I actually have clear skin for the first time in years! But I'm also kinda sad about the stupid amount of money I've wasted trying to get to this point with my skin, I would never have thought it would be drugstore that saved my face. I have to admit, I've only just introduced L'Oreal into my skin care over the last few months. Starting off with the clay masks, the washes and now the fine flowers collection, they all work together so well!

Now you know I absolutely love this range, here's the products I use;

Cream Gel Wash -  You can use this daily, morning and night. It's a cleansing gel wash that quickly turns into a creamy foam that cleanses and softens the skin with out drying it out. I normally switch between this and the clay washes through the week depending on what I feel my skin needs but I do start my morning with this pretty much every day now.

Cleansing Milk - Again you can use this morning and night. It's a very creamy texture and removes make up so well, while leaving it feeling soothed and soft. I actually find this so comforting and cooling to use at the end of the day. The cleansing milk nourishes and leaves a veil of softness behind.

Micellar Water  - Okay, this one isn't part of the Fine Flowers collection, but I thought if I was moving over to L'Oreal, I may as well give the Micellar water a go too. I loved that there was the option of different skin types and I picked up the dry to sensitive one. The mascara I normally use is really stubborn when it comes to removing but this water has no problems getting it off!

Toner - I'll be honest, I have never really used a toner until now and I definitely didn't realise how important a toner is. Again you use this morning and night after cleansing, using a cotton pad to sweep over your face and neck. It eliminates the last traces of impurities for a fully cleansed complexion.

Cleansing Wipes - I have never been a face wipes girl, ever. My skin reacted so badly to them when I first used wipes and far too harsh on my skin and I just put them in the bin and haven't tried any again until I reluctantly picked up these ones for dry to sensitive skin, I mean it completed the collection! I am well and truly converted, these wipes are so soothing and comforting on the skin, I've had absolutely no reaction to them and even have a spare in my work locker. I do 13 hour shifts, so when I get home I want to clean and freshen my face but don't fancy the whole routine which makes these cleansing wipes so handy. (Also helpful after a few cocktails, never sleep in makeup!)

So there's all the delights from the fine flowers range that I use. I honestly couldn't recommend this enough to anyone with sensitive skin, it's worked absolute wonders on my skin. I never thought a drugstore skincare range would clear my skin up, but it has, I actually have completely clear skin for the first time in forever and now I'm SO annoyed I didn't take any before and after pictures.
Have you tried anything from the collection?
