Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks

Wednesday 4 January 2017

We've all seen people talking about Kat Von D Beauty, from the Tattoo Liner to the Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks. This A/W I've been a real fan of liquid lipsticks, so it was only right that I jumped on the KVD train and tried them for myself.

(Top to Bottom: Lolita 11, Bow n Arrow, Outlaw, Double Dare)

They come with a Gothic theme, with foil roses on the applicator lid and a stand out signature at the bottom of the tube, you can tell KVD has put her own touches on all the beauty products, even the packaging they come in. I like to be able to see the little touches you would expect from any known name linked to a beauty range, and her boldness shines through, not only with design, but colour too.

The colours I have are, Lolita 11, Bow n Arrow, Outlaw and Double Dare. All 4 colours sit so well on the lips, although I find exfoliating and moisturising your lips before hand is a real benefit. As I'm sure many people know, anything with a matte effect can be drying, so lip prep is a must.

You only really need one layer to get a full coverage, all the liquid lipsticks are highly pigmented, but you can also build the colours up. They are slow drying once applied so its nice and easy to fill in any missed spots or correct any over lining. Once dried, you get a velvety matte finish, and a real stand out lip colour.

I've been reaching for Double Dare the most and find it a really nice day to day colour, but also find myself topping the colour up a fair bit. It seems that if you're going to be eating or drinking, the colour on your inner lips will fade very quickly, so don't leave home with out it. But darker colours seem to have a better staying power, although once they start to budge its very noticeable. I think my favourite colour out of the 4 I have is Outlaw, it's bold, bright and only gets better when you build it up.

I 100% plan on buying more colours, and can't wait for the new colours to start dropping this year!

Have you tried any?
