My 2016 Favourites

Sunday 8 January 2017

I couldn't start a new year and not do a round up of my favourite products that I've used time and time again over the past year. Some products I've used for the entire year, others have been picked up through out the last few months, but have quickly become a daily essential for me. There's a mixture of skincare and make up but each just as useful as the other.

Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani- Blush Palette This was a limited addition range from the Gwen collab, I managed to get myself a fair few things from the range but the one I've used the most is this palette. There's blush, bronze and highlighters in there. All of them a perfect for everyday wear. Unfortunately it's not available anymore, which makes me super sad!

Estee Lauder- Double Wear By far my favourite foundation I've ever used, I have scarred skin and the coverage is just right. You can also build it up to what ever coverage you like, and the staying power is just amazing. It'll take a lot to get me to move away from this one, I normally use a flat buffing brush to apply because it gives a slightly more matte effect. It's a gem!

Estee Lauder- Clear Difference Advanced Blemish Serum I've been using this serum for a few months now, I was never a big fan of serums and thought it wouldn't hurt to go without one in my routine. But I'm a fool and needed this all along, no it doesn't completely stop blemishes but it helps so much, I'm prone to break outs and its also a side effect of the medication I have to take for Epilespy, and this serum has really calmed my skin down, I will religiously buy this from now on! you can read about this serum more in depth here

Dr. PawPaw- Original Clear Balm I use this for everything, I have a tube in every bag I own. It can be used as a moisturiser, as mascara, you can use it to tame your eyebrows,as lipsil, even on your hair! It's also known for its healing properties, I often use it on my nose when I've had a cold, helps with the soreness, I use it on irritated skin, Literally everything. Best thing I own.

Lush Cosmetics- Don't Look At Me, My absolute favourite lush face mask, it's shocking blue in colour, comes with such a uplifting smell and exfoliates your face so well. Honestly my face is as smooth as a babies bottom once I've used this. It also improves skins completion if you have time to use it 2-3 times week. I've tried a few, but always come back to this one.

The Body Shop-  Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser At first I giggled at the fact it was advertised for Dull Tired and Grumpy Skin, because that's me in a moisturiser form, but reading more into the product it was exactly what I was in need of, super hydrating. My skin isn't as dehydrated and looks more energised. So its done the trick! I use it everyday and 100% need more from the range.

Kat Von D Beauty- Everlasting Liquid Lipstick This is one of my most recent purchases, but having just the one has swiftly turned into me growing a collection. I love these , they can be drying but if you do some lip prep before hand it helps, only thing I am noticing it some colours don't last quite as long as other. But you can build the colour up with all of them or just one coat for a lighter shade. I really am a fan but I think the staying power needs a look at, you can read more about them here and see swatches too!

Are any of these your favourites?
