Lush Herbalism Cleanser

Sunday 4 December 2016

If you read my blog regularly, you would know I'm a real fan of Lush. I have my trusty favourites that I will buy time and time again, but I do like to try products I'm yet to use. I do love a good Lush cleanser I've used 3 different ones in the past, just for the fact that each cleanser targets different skin needs.

Herbalism is a face and body cleanser. Who doesn't love a multipurpose item? It targets oily and troubled skin. With nettles, rosemary and rice bran vinegar working the remove dirt and grease to cleanse your skin, then you have chamomile blue oil and rose absolute to balance that skin tone of yours, and you have rice bran and ground almonds to exfoliate. But mix a little water in there and the almonds create a cleansing milk. There's even vitamins and minerals packed in to revitalise your skin. All sounds pretty great for one product right?

I think the main thing you need for this product is to enjoy an earthy scent, or be able to move past it. The first time I used this cleanser I thought it smelt like I was rubbing my face in grass, but then I smoothed my skin after and was super impressed! Plus the scent doesn't hang around, so once I had rinsed my face, there was no trace of the earthy smell.

I initially was only using Herbalism as a facial cleanser, but as it's also for the body I thought I may as well take it into the shower with me. And it's actually a really good little scrub for the whole body. Yes the bath tub needed rinsing as it was slightly tinged green, but what's the extra effort for super soft skin?

I've noticed a difference in the skin on my face and body, my face is looking a bit brighter, less tired and it seems to have helped with breakouts but also the dry patches on the tops of my arms  have gone and my legs don't look like they are begging to be moisturised and my skin seems to be in better condition, although the Snow Fairy Body Conditioner has helped too.

So once again I've found something new to add to my 'buy again' list.

Have you tried Herbalism?

  3. This sounds so lovely and I think I'd really like it! I'll have to grab myself a tub next time i'm in Lush! I know what you mean about the smell though, sometimes the smell can out me off a product but if the benefits outweigh the scent! I'm currently using a charcoal based one and it leaves the shower filthy too haha but it's sooooo good!
